Who’s Procure Nerds

Hi, I’m Ana. Friends call me Zvi.

I’ve spent over 15 years in procurement, managing everything from strategic tech vendors to negotiations that go sideways fast. I created Procure Nerds because procurement content is either too fluffy or too theoretical — and neither helps when the pressure hits and stakeholders want answers.
This isn’t about best practices in a vacuum. It’s about what actually works when budget’s tight, timelines are shorter than they should be, and someone already picked the supplier before calling procurement.
I’ve worked across global procurement teams, managed critical tech suppliers and lived the push-pull between governance and speed.
I’ve sat through contract reviews that made no sense, built sourcing strategies with zero data, and had to explain why cost savings doesn’t always mean lowest price.
This isn’t theory. It’s procurement in the real world.

Why This Exists

Procurement’s role has shifted. We’re not just buyers — we’re problem solvers, risk managers, escalation handlers, and, let’s be honest, sometimes the only ones asking hard questions.
But we’re often brought in too late. And left to fix problems we didn’t cause.
This site is here to give you a sharper edge when that happens.

What You’ll Find Here

I write and build for procurement professionals who need leverage, not just “process.”
I offer 1:1 strategic advisory for procurement teams, focused on supplier risk, renewal preparation, vendor due diligence, and internal negotiation readiness.
Strategy. Negotiation. Tactics. Playbooks. Scorecards. You name it.
And once a week – I talk about signals that matter – from region risk to contract traps, called “The Weekly Pull”.
